Before selecting flowers, confirm how the casket will be presented during the funeral or viewing.
Casket sprays are designed differently depending on whether the casket will be fully closed or partially open.
• Open-casket sprays: Also called half-couch sprays, these rest on the closed portion of a partially open casket.
• Closed-casket sprays: Designed for closed caskets, these arrangements can extend farther across the lid.

2. Think About the Flowers and Colors You'd Like to Include

4. Ask About Customization and Flower Availability
If you'd like to include a specific flower or color, it's important to ask about your options before placing an order.
Some designs may allow certain requests, depending on flower availability. Others have specific design requirements.
For example, our Designer's Choice casket spray is created using seasonal flowers selected by our floral team. Specific flower and color requests are not accommodated with this arrangement.
If a favorite bloom or particular color is essential to your tribute, contact us so we can discuss which available designs might be suitable.
5. Allow Enough Time for Your Casket Spray to Be Prepared
Unlike some everyday flower arrangements, casket sprays may require several days of advance preparation.
Certain flowers may need to be ordered or prepared ahead of time, and detailed designs can require additional work.
We recommend contacting us as soon as the funeral date and location are confirmed. Preparation requirements vary, so please check the lead time for your selected arrangement before ordering.
If the service is approaching soon, call us at (808) 832-9360 to discuss availability. Same-day delivery for standard flower arrangements does not necessarily mean a casket spray can be prepared on the same schedule.

Before contacting us, try to confirm:
• Service date and time: When the viewing, funeral, or memorial will take place.
• Funeral home or venue: The name and complete delivery address.
• Casket presentation: Whether the casket will be open or closed.

You don't need to have every design detail decided before speaking with us. These basics simply give us a starting point.
7. Confirm Delivery Arrangements Before Ordering
For funeral flowers, the delivery location and service schedule are especially important.
Watanabe Floral offers flower delivery to eligible locations across Oahu, including funeral homes and churches. Our regular delivery days are Monday through Saturday, excluding selected holidays. We do not offer regular Sunday delivery.
For sympathy orders going to North Shore locations, arrangements must be made by phone and are subject to additional ordering requirements.
