Funeral Wreaths in Honolulu: A Guide to Choosing a Meaningful Tribute
Written by Watanabe Floral, Inc.
Choosing funeral flowers is a personal decision, especially when you want to honor someone whose life meant so much to you. A funeral wreath can express love, remembrance, and respect, even when finding the right words feels difficult.
At Watanabe Floral, we help Honolulu families and friends select floral tributes that reflect their loved ones and the occasion. Whether you prefer traditional white flowers or a colorful tropical design, we're here to help you understand your options and plan for the service.
When Is a Funeral Wreath the Right Choice?
Funeral wreaths are circular floral arrangements commonly displayed on an easel during a funeral, memorial service, or graveside ceremony. Their circular shape is often associated with enduring love and remembrance.
A wreath can be a thoughtful tribute from extended family, friends, coworkers, or a group wishing to honor someone together.
Before choosing an arrangement, consider where the flowers will be displayed and whether the family has expressed any preferences. Some families may request particular flowers or colors, while others may prefer donations in lieu of flowers.
If you're uncertain, our team can help you compare the available arrangements.
Choosing a Funeral Wreath That Reflects Your Loved One
The most meaningful funeral wreath isn't necessarily the largest or most elaborate. It's one that feels appropriate for the person being remembered and the family's wishes.

Traditional White Funeral Wreaths
White flowers are a familiar choice for memorial services. They create a gentle, understated tribute and can be appropriate when you prefer a classic arrangement.
White chrysanthemums, roses, carnations, and lilies are among the flowers commonly associated with remembrance. The exact combination depends on the design and flower availability.
Tropical Hawaiian Funeral Wreaths
Tropical flowers can be a meaningful choice for someone who loved Hawaii or whose family prefers a colorful tribute.
Our selection includes tropical wreath designs, with arrangements featuring different floral combinations and colors. Depending on availability, tropical flowers and foliage can provide a distinctive alternative to traditional designs.
A tropical arrangement can also be appropriate for a celebration of life where the family has chosen a brighter floral setting.
Personalized Funeral Wreaths
Sometimes, a particular flower or color brings back a special memory.
Perhaps your loved one enjoyed purple orchids, favored yellow flowers, or always kept roses at home. These preferences can help guide the arrangement.
We welcome requests for preferred flowers and colors, although availability may vary by season and design. If an element is especially important, please contact us before ordering so we can discuss what's possible.

Funeral Wreaths vs. Other Sympathy Arrangements
A funeral wreath isn't the only way to honor someone. The appropriate choice often depends on your relationship with the person who passed and where the flowers will be placed.
Arrangement
Common Purpose
Funeral wreath
A circular tribute displayed at a funeral or memorial service, often sent by relatives, friends, or groups.
Standing spray
A floral arrangement displayed on an easel at a funeral, memorial, or graveside service.
Casket spray
Flowers placed on the casket, traditionally selected by immediate family.
Urn or tribute piece
Flowers arranged around an urn, photograph, or memorial display.
Sympathy arrangement for the home
A bouquet, plant, or other thoughtful gift delivered to the grieving family's residence.
We offer standing sprays, casket sprays, and urn arrangements alongside our wreath collection.
If you're sending condolences but won't be attending the service, you might prefer one of our sympathy arrangements for the home.
There is no need to select a larger arrangement simply because the occasion is important. What matters is choosing a gesture that feels sincere and appropriate.

What to Know About Funeral Wreath Delivery in Honolulu
Funeral flowers require careful planning because they are intended for a particular service and location.
Order in Advance Whenever Possible
Some funeral arrangements require additional preparation time, particularly wreaths and other elaborate floral tributes.
Our funeral wreaths are listed among our advance-order designs. Because preparation requirements can differ, we recommend contacting our team to confirm the lead time for your selected arrangement.
If the service is approaching quickly, please call us to discuss which sympathy flowers may be available for the requested date.
Have Your Service Details Ready
Before ordering, it helps to gather the following information:
• Name of the person being remembered
• Funeral or memorial service date and starting time
• Name and complete address of the funeral home, church, cemetery, or other venue
• Any known delivery or flower-display instructions
• Preferred arrangement style, flowers, or colors
• Card message or requested tribute wording
Having these details ready helps us review your order and the delivery arrangements.
Confirm the Delivery Schedule
We provide local flower delivery across our eligible Oahu service areas, including funeral homes and memorial venues.
For eligible arrangements, our general same-day delivery service operates Monday through Saturday, with zone-specific order cutoffs. As of October 9, 2026, those cutoffs are before 1 PM for Zone 1, noon for Zone 2, and 11 AM for Zone 3. These general delivery cutoffs do not override the advance preparation requirements for funeral wreaths.
We do not offer regular Sunday delivery. North Shore sympathy deliveries require phone arrangements and additional order conditions.
For details, please review our Oahu flower delivery policies and service areas.
If the funeral is approaching or the delivery location has special requirements, calling us first is the best way to confirm the available options.
How Much Do Funeral Wreaths Cost in Honolulu?
Funeral wreath prices can vary depending on the design, size, flower selection, and preparation involved.
Several factors may affect the total cost:
Arrangement size: A larger design generally requires more flowers and supporting materials.
Flower selection: The type of flowers requested and their availability can influence the final price.
Design requirements: Certain shapes, personalized details, and specialty requests may require additional preparation.
Delivery: Fees depend on the destination and whether a particular delivery time is requested.
You can review current prices in our Honolulu funeral wreath collection. If you have a particular budget, please let us know so we can discuss suitable options.
A thoughtful tribute doesn't need to be extravagant. Choosing something meaningful within your budget is a respectful way to remember someone you love.
Honoring Family Traditions Through Funeral Flowers
In Hawaii, families may observe different cultural or religious customs when remembering loved ones.
Some families prefer traditional white arrangements, while others choose chrysanthemums, tropical flowers, or floral tributes that reflect personal memories.
There is no single arrangement that is appropriate for every family. Preferences may differ even within the same cultural or religious community.
If you are ordering flowers for someone whose traditions are unfamiliar to you, consider asking a close family member whether there are particular wishes to respect.
Our team can help you explore floral options and discuss requests for particular flowers or colors based on availability.
