Do you have a minimum spend requirement for wedding flowers?
Here at Watanabe Floral we believe in providing an array of options. For cut flowers and Lei, there are no minimums, you can purchase as much or little as you want. For Full Service florals, we do have a $1000 minimum where you will be able to work with one of our wedding specialists directly. If you only need a bouquet or few items, we have our amazing Micro-Wedding packages that you can buy as a package or individually within each package. This is a wonderful alternative for small or budget conscious weddings. Please, reach out to us at weddings@watanabefloral.com and we will direct you in the best course for you no matter the budget!
How early before my wedding should I be thinking about wedding flowers?
A good time to schedule a consultation or start the conversation would be 6-9 months prior to the wedding. This will give the couple time to learn about their floral options and formalize the style and look they are going for.
For popular dates however, we strongly encourage couples to reach out as soon as they can because of our availability.
Is there a consultation fee?
No, the first consultation is complimentary and non-obligatory. We encourage couples to meet with us so they can learn more about us as well as for our team to get to know you.
To make sure our wedding consultants are available to meet with you, please schedule a consultation here
How will your wedding team work with us to achieve our vision for wedding florals?
We invite every couple to schedule a complimentary, non-obligatory consultation with our wedding specialist. During this consultation, we learn more about you and your wedding, and give you the opportunity to discuss about what we can do for you as well.
After this consultation, should you decide to book us as your wedding florist (yay!), we will require a $100 deposit*. Once the deposit is paid, we will create a mock-up of your desired floral centerpiece and we will schedule a second meeting to review this centerpiece.
During the second meeting, which will be closer to the wedding, we will work with you to confirm details, make necessary adjustments to your order (if any) and gather feedback on the mock-up of the centerpiece.
Depending on your needs, we will be ready on your wedding day to bring your floral vision to life with our flowers!
*his deposit will be used to offset your final spend
Are consultations done in-person only?
For couples who live on Oahu, we encourage you to meet with us in person (we are fun to spend time with!). However, we are adept at consulting via Zoom * or via email. For destination couples, we are more than happy to schedule virtual consultations * with you – just reach out!
*Please, note that your consultation process might differ slightly than what was mentioned in Question 5.
How should I prepare for the consultation so that the wedding consultant can help me better?
We encourage couples to think about the following before you come to the consultation, whether or not you have a vision in mind (we can work with you to create a floral concept!). These pieces of information will help us advise you better on the cost, overall look and feasibility
Important information to have: a budget for flowers, your wedding colors, preferred flowers, seating (long or round tables) and potential guest size (no. of tables).
We also strongly encourage couples to start a Pinterest board to gather ideas and styles that they love, and would like to incorporate into their wedding.
A good place to start on Pinterest is our Pinterest Gallery! Save pins from the beautiful weddings, we have done and share them with us during your consultation.
