This Women's Day, we celebrate the women who make for Watanabe Floral what it is! From design, operations, sales to delivery, our female staff play a vital role to our business, while bringing with them generosity, kindness and love for our ohana.
We are grateful for each and every one of them!

"Bubblez is a very hardworking individual. She really cares about her department as she always thinks about what’s best for the drivers. Bubblez loves to bring in food/snacks to handout to the team." – Landon Watanabe, Delivery Manager
.....
1. Tell us about your role in Watanabe Floral
As the delivery department dispatcher, I am responsibility for the routing and packing of deliveries for our drivers as well as handling problems that arise during deliveries.
I believe the most important role in my position is to keep my drivers safe, efficient and connected to the shop. My drivers are on the road all day and don't get the same interaction as everyone else so I try my utmost to keep them informed and happy/upbeat with food/snacks and friendly banter.
2. What is your favorite part of your job?
It’s always challenging and it's never dull or the same every day. I’ve been able to inspire into our team the importance of what we do as flowers bring smiles to people even through hard times. But at the end of the day, it brings a smile to my face when my team brings me back snacks to munch on.
3. Tell us who is one woman in your life whom you admire and why?
Grandma Okamura and Grandma Sasaki both taught me the appreciation and value of food. Don’t waste, utilize what you have in your fridge, pantry and or freezer. Both grandmas also taught me about work ethics and how to be “tough as nails” in order to get the job done and to always think about others before yourself. Growing up listening to their stories of how hard they had to work raising 6 children each makes me think, “hey I can do that too!”.
4. For International Women’s Day, what is the most important message you want to send out to young women?
Respect and learn from your elders, they have information and experience you can learn and grow from. Be respectful of everything around you (i.e. family, people, animals, environment, work). Don’t take anything for granted. Do everything with a humble mind frame, the saying "what goes around, comes around" is very true! Lastly, give without expectations.
5. Which is your favorite arrangement (on WFI's website) and why?
The Doggie Delight as it reminds me of my golden retriever fur buddies Willy, Shibi and Bruzah.
