This Women's Day, we celebrate the women who make for Watanabe Floral what it is! From design, operations, sales to delivery, our female staff play a vital role to our business, while bringing with them generosity, kindness and love for our ohana.
We are grateful for each and every one of them!

"Laurie is an exceptional example of a strong and caring leader. As a single mom working two jobs, she knows what it takes to build and grow her teammates. She always looks after their overall well-being and health." – Justin Watanabe, Operations Manager
.....
1. Tell us about your role in Watanabe Floral
My position at Watanabe Floral is "Distribution Supervisor". I help Justin coordinate our team and keep them organized throughout the day. It's a smaller crew now due to COVID-19, but I do my best to distribute responsibilities evenly to put people in the best position to succeed.
2. What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is helping our team grow into confident workers and seeing them persevere.
3. Tell us who is one woman in your life whom you admire and why?
Mrs. Watanabe. When I was in high school my mom worked at Watanabe as a "Wedding Specialist". She would often need help and that's when I first started to work at Watanabe Floral. I remember Mrs. Watanabe always being patient in teaching her workers as well as grading all the roses with her workers. I learned from her how to lead by example. I'll never forget her caring smile and love for her workers.
4. For International Women’s Day, what is the most important message you want to send out to young women?
I would like to say to always believe in all you can accomplish. Don't be afraid to try new things and also to be a good listener. The best gift you can give yourself is to adapt and evolve.
5. Which is your favorite arrangement (on WFI's website) and why?
Designer's Choice. I always am impressed every time they create from their hearts. It takes my breath away every time.
