Watanabe Floral, Inc. is Hawaii’s leading provider of beautiful floral arrangements and plants since 1945. As a company, we’ve made sustainability a priority since our very beginning. Our values are simple: to create sustainable floral arrangements, sold sustainably.

When we lead with our values, we find ourselves doing right by our suppliers, our guests and our business. Our approach to reducing our environmental impact means looking at all aspects of our business, how they intersect and how we can integrate new solutions to create meaningful and sustained change.

A sampling of ways we incorporate sustainable practices in key aspects of our business include:

1. Installed of a 113.9 kW DC photovoltaic Solar Energy System (496 Solar Panels).
2. Installed Evaporator Fan Technology in all walk-in coolers.
3. Removed all electronic ballasts and converted all fluorescent ceiling lights to LED lighting without ballast.
4. Converted all exterior spotlights to LED lighting
5. Converted all walk-in and reach in cooler to high spectrum LED lighting
6. Replace old compressors with a Solar Thermal Collector Panels with Scroll Compressors.
7. Installed motion sensors in all offices.
8. Installed the Universal Shunt Efficiency System to extend the life of motors and transformers.
9. Use suppliers and farms that promote Green farming practices.
